Porto de Leixões

I went to the nearest Museum from my house, in São Paulo, yesterday afternoon. And I would like to share 2 pictures with you. The first painting is the Museum Pinacoteca do Estado and the second one is "Porto de Leixões" by Mario Navarro da Costa, a portuguese writer from 1900. Anyway, the second paiting is really inspiring and relaxing for me. I hope you enjoy it. Have a nice Sunday!

Dear Greener, Mario Navarro da Costa, a Portuguese painter painted Porto de Leixões in 1901 with oil. I bought the picture, as postcard, in the museum and I put it in my desk to "admire" it.
Thanks for visiting,
Rosana

Ah the second painting resonated with me, reminding me of places I used to visit as a child, southern ports like Charleston or Savannah. It's amazing how similar they are, given the distances and cultures that separate them. More a mood than the details.
